Hi there, boys and girls.
It's been about 76 days since my last confession...wait, huh?
That is to say, 76 days since my last journal post.
A lot of stuff's gone on in the interim. Stuff that wasn't exactly personal but that involved me personally.
I seem to most more often on Facebook (I know, and shut up!) since there appears to be an easier access by those that deem me relevant enough to want to see what the fuck I'm up to on a fairly regular basis.
But getting back to things that have happened and stuff...
Extended News
I left my old place of employment and started where I am currently.
It's been a more than decent place; the bosses want to succeed, and don't hesitate to get into the thick of it with their staff to address a growing list of clients.
I admire that.
Things appear to going pretty smoothly - myself, I think I'm fitting right in, getting into the groove of things and tasks, etc.
Did I mention we (the company) is about to expand? Yeah, looks like we're going to double in size in the next couple of months. That means more staff, etc, to accommodate the explosive demand we're receiveing from existing and new clients.
That's freakin' awesome! Why? 2 words: CHA-CHING in my pocket.
Things in general have been...quiet. Normal.
The dailyi routine has been just that: routine.
I may be riding down to Austin in the next few weeks - gonna visit with friends that live down that way.
I am also giving lots of consideration to taking Tonya down to the beach, maybe Port Aransas. It's not a wow-fuckin'-cool'beach! beach, but a beach nonetheless.
And that is fine by us.
And with a daughter (plus boyfriend), their new puppy, and my own 2 dogs, the house is getting pretty damn crowded.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's fine to have family and shit around, but man, to try and find a quiet spot, where I can think, write, or be creative...it's a freakin' challenge and a half!
I've been told, Go! Leave the house with your laptop. Find a place where you can chill adn do somem writing, etc
My response is, why the hell do I need to leave my own home to do that?
So, til something improves, or I build a freakin' room where I can lock myself away from everyone, everything my stories, and other creative endeavor will continue to languish in my head.
Let's pray I don't have a fucking stroke or something...it'd be an awful shame to lose all these ideas.
Bah, I didn't mean to make this entry into a woe-is-me whine-fest. I was only relating how tings have been.
But, it is summer, or damn near to it! That means I commute most days on my bike, I don't have to worry about freezing my ass off (always a good thing), and can enjoy the wonderful things that abound around here when the climate is as warm as it is.
So, until the next entry, y'all stay coo, have fun, and try not to pee in the pool.
