2nd Amendment - Thank God We Have it!
JournalI'd like to share with you a very meaningful and justifying argument for the right to bear arms.

I present to you this video clip (9minutes, 23 seconds):

Just makes you wonder, what in the fuck some of these ignorant legislators are thinking because it sure as shit is not your best interests.

To hear of this type of tragedy...sometimes it's necessary to say, "fuck, fuck, fuck the po-lice!"
450-Pound Morning workout
Rider*GRUNT*...

muffled cursing in at least 2 languages

COME ON!  START!!!

UMPH!  NNGGAHHH-DAMNIT

That is just a small fraction of the lone dialogue that could be heard spewing from my exhausted self at 5:30 this morning.

And what, prey tell, was the reason for such colorful expletive-ridden verbal expression?

My motorcycle's battery was dead.
I picked up the bike from the shop -- it had its 15,000 service done -- upon my return I parked it and I inadvertanly turned the ignition key too far back, turning on its parking lights.  I never went back out to the garage that afternoon, thus the battery discharged itself.

Now, for those of you that already own motorcycles (the rest of you just don't know you want one...yet) you would probably counter with a quick suggestion: push-start the darn ting and off you go!
Post-Update Mini-Snag
PHP-FusionSeems that there is a little trip-up regarding the last update.

Security for handling passwords has been changed to double md5 encryption.
As such, registered users may receive a invalid user name or password message when attempting to log in.

If you are a registered user and receive the above message, click the "forgot password" link and have your password and emailed to the address you used - a new valid password will be recieved with which you can log in normaly.

If you still have problems, click this link or the link found on the main navigation panel on the left and let me know.
Minor Update, here
PHP-FusionA small update was done to the site to address a few discovered exploits.

In addition to that I have added a few modifications to make the site visit a more enriched experience.

I am adding a mod that allows the playing of songs, among other media.

So stay tuned...
New Pix In the Works
JournalThis is just a short note to let you folks know that I will be taking and posting some new pictures in the coming weeks, of my bike, my new house, and whatever else I feel like sharing with ya.

In case you're also wondering, the move to the new house is about done. I still have a gym set that needs moving from the old house - or selling, if you're interested and happen to live in the Dallas metroplex.
There may also be a nice ceramic-top stove for sale, too, unless the landlord coughs up some green like in the next week.

Alright. Gonna shower and stuff and see about breakfast...I' freakin' hungry!

A House - Update
JournalWell, boys and girls, I am please to provide you with an update on the house.

I close on Tuesday December 23!

Yeah, I will be doing the final walk-through of the house that morning, then head over to the title company to close, etc.

Now, the fun and frantic part starts where I get to call all my bill holders and shit and update them on my new address.
And that still leaves utilities, internet and phone...

It's the funnest set of chores I get to do before the end of 2008!

You may yet see another entry on this blog of mine before the year ends, but if you don't then allow me to wish you all a heart-felt season's greetings and a happy new year!

Oh yeah, I will be posting pictures of my new crib, soon.
A House
JournalAs is my tendency for the sporadic posting, I find myself here again, sharing of my oh so little events of life.

And so it is with no little anticipation that I divulge that I am this close: > < to closing on my brand new house.

My own house.

Mine.

No one has lived within its walls. No bare feet have traipsed across its floors, its carpet.
It will be my existance within its walls, beneath its roof that will imprint the first essence, its character and personality.
Hosting and PHP
PHP-FusionI'm sure some of you have noticed over the course of visiting here that the site just doesn't load with the speed one would expect a proper web site should.

I experience the same thing myself; I can visit some heavily trafficked web site that uses a php scripted portal and it still loads up pretty damn fast.
I will then click on my web site here and....and...and...FUUUCK, LOAD UP ALREADY!

...

...

...damn, finally!

The site's hosting will expire in July of 2009.
But I don't plan on waiting until then to move this site of mine to a faster web host...
Oliver: 2004~2008
JournalIt is with no small sadness that I inform you that one of my 2 beloved dogs died today, at approximately 7:20pm.

Rabbits have been a recurring pest around my neighborhood. And as of this year they have taken to sneaking in to our back yard and hiding under the wooden deck off oour patio.

Our dogs (a 85 pound Weimereiner and a 27 pound Jack Russell Terrier) caught a rabbit over the summer and killed it - yeah, big mess and my sweet Tonya had to deal with the aftermath while I was at work.
I mention this because after that day they would go berserk when they caught the scent of a rabbit under the deck.

Fast forward to today.

Tonya was preparing to go see the knee doctor about 2:30 when she heard the dogs outside going at it, both growling and yelping and shit.
Is there Ever Enough Time?
JournalAs some of you may know, I have been authoring stories for some time (think since about puberty).

I have had what I believe to some pretty unique story lines; plots, if you will.
Some of them I decided were not enticing or interesting enough to pursue in an earnest effort.

But then there are those story ideas that I did find fascinating. Fascinating enough, scary enough, dark or light enough to merit my time and my attention to fleshing them out.

Over the years (yes, in some cases it's been years) that I have been slowly adding characters, content, conflict, absolution, etc, I find that unless I can sit there, uninterrupted, until that next chapter has been committed to paper, it quickly becomes challenging to even finish that particular chapter.
Site Upgrade
ThemesJust a quick note that (a), I decided to just keep PHP-Fusion as my portal script, etc.
And (b), I've upgraded the site to the latest version, 7.

I'm still playing with a few things, but with the addition of mp3 player capabilities and other neat features, I'm thinking I may have decided on the best solution at this time for my site.

Now, if I could just decide on what i wan to do with my other sites:
