To Bitch, or Not To Bitch |
|
In recent months I have been feeling a little more...what's the term...frustrated? Disillusioned? Offended? Anyway, the topic of which I speak is my present position, my job. I work as a Senior Support Technician for a company in the hospitality industry that provides a point-of-sale solution as well as hardware. By many standards it is an above average place to work. As long as you are not working in the support departments.
Let me explain... |

As forwarded to me by my friend and colleague, Underbrewer:
I Am A Craft Brewer from I Am A Craft Brewer on Vimeo.
After viewing this, ask yourself: Aren't all the big corporations falling apart now?
Consider, the big 3 american car makers - all going to hell ina handbasket.
It's now the smaller car maker...the quality car maker that is succeeding.
As is any individual with the tenacity and verve for their respective endeavor.
I say to you, dear reader: Fear not the wind of change, for it serves to dry the sweat from thine own brow! (quote by yours truly, 2009) |
|
I wanted to give a quick honorable mention for a site my fellow rider, Underbrewer, gave me: Rock The Gear
Here is their blurb - At RocktheGear.org, we are dedicated to producing a community for current and prospective motorcyclists where information on personal protective apparel is available, positive influence from current riders is abundant, and the choice to ROCK THE GEAR is supported and rewarded.
Now get over there, get educated, then get soem proper gear on that ass of yours! |

Alright squirrels and girls!
I am inviting you to send me a pic or three for me to play with/work up/retouch.
When you send me something, do include any requests on what you'd like done to the image, like: Oh, please remove that big-ass mole from my nose! Or, Can you add a little more/less bulge around the bust area? Or how about removal of background, like that telephone pole that is growing out of someone's head, or the half-naked biker that insists on toasting your presence at the Grand Canyon...with his man-juice!
...exactly.
So, if you're wanting someting nice, representative of you for MySpace, Adult Friend-Finder, FaceBook, Christmas post card, let me know. 1st job's on me. Other work requests are accepted for a nominal (read that as cheap) fee.
Do contact me if you have any questions on how to get the images/pictures to me - I will provide instructions. |

Whoa! I'll Take 2, Please! |

I would so own me a couple of these, even with just plain ole double-ought buckshot shells!
I must say, it defenitely appeals to the "Pancho Villa" in me, heh heh |

What to Play, What to Play |

Protoype:
All I know is, this looks most promising, heh heh.
The gameplay is quite a leap forward, I think, to that of Assassin's Creed. Although, Assassin's Creed is also a pretty cool game to play.

Ah, The Mexican That Is Me |
|
As I grow and age, gain wisdom (and later chose to ignore it), and live this life of mine there is an underlying...pulse(?) that is always just beyond perception, just beyond my concsious reach. It's like the almost-dreams one sometimes has - you wake only to find a fleeting shadow of the dream you were having. It's an aftertaste of someting you so wish to re-experience.
Enter the Mexican. Shit, that sounded a little too much like a Robert Rodriguez movie.
Anyway, the MexicanI speak of is actually the part of me that is from south of the border. Puerto Vallarta, to be exact. Now, don't get me wrong, here...

Hi, there, folks. I find myself sitting here, at work, knowing I have all sorts of proactive supoprt calls to make to various Arby's restaurants (they're the newest client-to-be for the company I work for), yet pining to be on my bike, riding.
Somewhere. Anywhere.
The weather is typical North Texas gorgeous: 76, sunny as all get-out, a light southerly wind of about 8~10mph.
All I need now is a good long hilly road with its lazy curves and occasional back woods bridges for me to ride over...
No, instead, I am here in a air-conditioned building, a wide enough cubicle, but a cubicle nonetheless.

Switchblade Motorcycle Windshields |
|
I am considering the addition of a removable wind shield for my Boulevard C50.
In my research I came across the Switchblade brand of windshields. And let me say I am impressed by their products.
Using Lexan as their primary material it certainly leaves little doubt as to the effectiveness, durability, and overall costof ownership.
I found an online seller that offers these windshields at a pretty decent price: |

Category Changes in the Works |
|
Just a brief note to announce that after deliberating I will be be reviewing the News categories and removing those that have no relevance to this, my site, and wil be adding my own as I go.
I've added a protoype image for the new category Rider:

Stay tuned for other "improvements"... |

The Not-So-Fresh Desire for Asphalt |
|
Among you my failthful readers are those that choose to ride on vehicles comprised of 2 wheels instead of 4.
You refer to most cars and trucks as cages. On any day where the temperature rises above 50 degrees farenheit you immediately experience a longing to be riding on your bike (a.k.a iron horse, sweet chrome bitch, ole crusty...Squirrell) You want to ride all day - you want to meet other riders going the other way on that road and give them the biker's salute as you whiz by.
You want that oh so venerated feeling of belonging to something undescribed yet so common among all riders; |
