I have successfully upgraded (not updated) the site to its latest version.
You may see a few things changed slightly and will notice some new features - other than that, things remain relatively the same.

 Yours Truly was able to finish taking his Motorcycle classifiaction written exam and passed (as if there were ever any doubt!)
Did it this morning while the wife was getting some personal info updated on her driver's license.
All I can say is, maybe it time to celebrate...with a brand new bike?

Meetups In the North DFW Area |

For those of you that live in the DFW area, particularly toward the northern part, consider looking into the following meetup groups.
Yours truly is a member of these 4 groups and is looking forward to riding in the upcoming, cooler-weather rides.
Make a point to join as well, and lets put some miles on those weekend toys of yours!
Just Ride - Just joined this group so don't have any feedback, yet.
Bike Nights of DFW - Can't say I have attended any of this group's meetups. The few I've seen posted haven't been really for riding as it is just get-togethers. I'm thinking of dropping off this group for lack of real "acitivity".
The Outsiders Motorcycle Club - Participated in a morning-to-mid-day ride with this group, as did Brandon Call-me-Shapoopy Selvidge. Was great fun riding the back roads from McKinney to Krum Texas.
The Vineriders - Another group I just joined. It looks promising; I will provide feedback once I've had a go in their next ride/meetup.

It's August, yo!
As you may already know, I commute to work on my Suzi C50. Pretty much any time there isn't ice on the road, or the temps are above 40 degrees.
Anyway, yesterday the weather forecast indicated a slight 10% to 20% chance of rain...maybe.
Well the maybe happened. Right on top of me right after I left work for the evening.
Now, riding in the rain is nothing new to me. Hell, riding in a snowfall is nothing new to me!
The rain came down in a hard dounpour from the get-go; there was no sprinkle followed by an increasing rate of rain. No, the shit came down fast and hard.
I was drenched in seconds. |

 It seems I keep telling you all that I am about to upload all kinds of neat-o graphics and shit only to leave you disapointed.
Truth is, I have been doing stuff, just not freestyle imagery that I can upload.
I've been designing marketing coupons for a dentist office, Smiles Enhanced, located in downtown Frisco, TX.
I'll be adding a new category: portfolio to the gallery.
But really, you will eventually find all my professional work on display on my 2nd site:

I am in the process of re-doing it from the ground up.
I'm even testing it using PHP-Fusion, the same script on which this site is built.
Not sure if I'll keep it though.

As you all likely know, I've been riding pretty hardcore since my Boulevard C50 came into my possesion.
As of this post, I'm homing in on 27,000 miles ridden on that bike.
For a 2007, bought in August of 2008, that's a lotof miles!
On average many folks will put oh, maybe 1200 to 2500 miles over the course of a year.
But you will recall that I was commuting consistently on the bike for about 2 years straight.
I've had my ah, this is great! moments, and I've also had my oh woe is me moments. |

 Over the last 2 weeks the paypal account I had for over 8 years has been accessed.
Twice.
The 1st time, they managed to get over $900 bucks out of my bank account - luckily, it never made it past the Paypal account and after 5 days of calling and bitching at Paypal and my bank, I was able to get that money returned.
This 2nd time, Paypal's bank decides it needs to debit my account for 2 of the original unauthorized transactions - for about $300+.
What. The. Fuck!?
Despite that fact that the transactions were confirmed as unauthorized/clandestine, Paypal still proceeds to attempt to process the god-damned transactions?
I mean, really. how fucking obtuse does a company have to be?
I am awaiting these transactions to once again post into Paypal so I may then manually transfer that money back into my bank.
Paypal can go fuck itself and the retarded horse it rode in on.
As a safety precaution I have emptied out my checking account to prevent any further monies from being transactioned out because of these shitheads.
Let them try and get anything out of there now.
I have also removed the "Donate to this site" button as it was tied into the Paypal account.
The last thing I will do is allow someone's generosity to cost them more than the couple of dollars they chose to donate.
What gets me, too, is, Paypal showed 2 transactions pending, again, for July 8.
For purchases on ebay.
To be shipped to somewhere in the Ukraine!
Nevermind that I have my address in fucking Texas.
Nevermind that I specifically stated that this account is not used to purchase anything. It is used only for incoming monies.
They could give a shit.

I'll just use Google Checkout instead - they obviously know what the fuck they are doing when it comes to security.
Do yourselves a favor: close your paypal account. It doesn't gain you any interest and the headaches they refuse to own up for.
